This is an ongoing series of relief prints inspired by the symmetry and unique textures of insects.

I tend to add to this series whenever I need a playful and satisfying project to break me out of the pattern of my usual work. I keep all prints to 4x6” and use a reduction block method with a maximum of four layers to force myself to simplify the subject. As I continue to add to this series I hope to one day frame twelve of them together, imitating the cases of preserved bugs you might see at a natural history museum
