Native Minnesota Plants

Despite living in an urban setting, I am able to find a remarkable amount of native plants on my daily neighborhood walks. Some are cultivated, others are reclaiming parking strips and forgotten land between buildings. These islands of native biodiversity provide much needed habitat for native fauna and some, like milkweed, are critical to supporting ecosystems on the other side of the continent
